Professional Qualifications & Criteria
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must currently reside in the Philippines.
- Must possess a valid Philippine Tax Identification Number (TIN) for professional service fee documentation.
- High proficiency in English communication.
- Basic computer literacy (navigating web-based applications, video conferencing tools, and digital dashboards).
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality language facilitation.
- Prior ESL coaching or training experience is considered an asset.
Technical Essentials (Equipment)
To ensure a stable connection to the digital platform, your workstation must meet the following baseline hardware specifications:
- Computer: Laptop or desktop computer running Windows 10/11 or macOS 11 or higher (Dual-Core CPU or higher, minimum 4GB RAM).
- Internet Connection: Stable internet connection (wired LAN cable highly recommended). Minimum download/upload speed of 5 Mbps (15 Mbps recommended) with a ping rate under 100 ms.
- Software: Latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
- Peripherals: HD webcam, dedicated headset, and microphone. Noise-cancelling headsets with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) are highly recommended to prevent echo and background interference.
Service Environment Standards
Tutors are expected to maintain a professional service environment during booked slots to ensure high student satisfaction ratings:
- Audio Quality: A quiet workspace free from audible background noise, music, or echoes.
- Visual Setup: A well-lit workspace with a clean, neutral, and professional background free from passing individuals or clutter.
- Professional Presentation: Tutors are expected to maintain a presentable, professional appearance during live video sessions. Smart casual attire is highly recommended.
