A delicious Japanese treat? A chance to earn money on your free time? How about a bit of both? RareJob Philippines visited U.P. Town Center last September 13, 2016 in collaboration with Café Shibuya. In just three easy steps, people were able to enjoy treats from the Japanese-inspired café.
From passers-by, to the residents of the long strip of Katipunan Avenue, all the way to the students from the nearby colleges and universities, people were drawn to the plethora of activities prepared by the RareJob staff. Instead of the usual tutor application process, applicants were able to try Café Shibuya’s treats upon passing the English Proficiency Test and booking a demo lesson.
The café offered a delicious set of treats for the applicants: their delectable Green Tearamisu cake, the delicious tousle of greens and crabsticks in their Kani Salad, and their mouth-watering signature dish, the Honey Toast.
Besides the chance to be a RareJob tutor and take home RareJob merchandise and treats, the audience also enjoyed the fun activities provided for them—origami and the traditional Japanese toy, Kendama. RareJob’s Japanese intern Nanaho Fujino joined in the fun and surprised everyone with her mad skills in playing the Kendama.
By the end of the day, happy faces exited the venue with their stomachs full and a new job to boot. For those who weren’t able to join us, don’t fret for we have more activities being cooked inside the HQ for you!
