The ’90s in the Philippines was definitely vibrant and memorable. We’ve got awesome music from famous artists and bands like the Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls and Britney Spears. Treats like Haw-haw, White Rabbit, Vi-va and games like jackstones, pick-up sticks and pogs played a huge part in our childhood. Let’s not forget that the ‘90s was also the era of romantic teenybopper movies and loveteams.
Last November 24 and December 01, 2018, RareJob tutors got a chance to go to a trip down memory lane as we celebrated the 27th Tutor Gathering with the theme Plaids, Prints and Pumps: The ‘90s Tutor Gathering at Luxent Hotel, Quezon City and Richmonde Hotel, Iloilo.
Everyone got a chance to dig-deep into their cabinets and flaunt those ‘90s inspired outfits. Upon arrival, tutors were instantly welcomed with sweet treats and beats from the ‘90s. The event was officially kicked off with the RareJob CEO Shingo Inaba’s welcome message.
“We have this kind of event, because we acknowledge that everyone here has contributed greatly to meet the goals of our company for 2018. This year would not be successful if not for your hardwork and dedication to RareJob. For that we are truly thankful,” Inaba-san expressed. “This is our way to show our appreciation for everyone. On behalf of RareJob, we hope we are able to show how important you are to us through this event.”
During the event, our knowledge of the ‘90s was also put to the test through a group quiz where the winners were able to take home RareJob merchandise. Other activities and booths like photo booth, videoke, water ring toss, pick-up sticks, puzzle game, song and dance challenge, and henna tattoo were enjoyed by our party-goers throughout the afternoon. We also gave away a lot of appliances and a Samsung Tablet as the grand prize during the raffle.
The event was wrapped-up by the RareJob Assistant Manager, Aids Saldua, ending with a promise that RareJob will continuously think of ways to make our tutors have the best teaching experience with us.
With this fun year-end event, it seems like awesome opportunities await us for 2019.
See you in our next events!
